Dean Row Village Hall October 13 2010

First visit to Cheshire, such a shame this lovely little gem of a venue isn't used more often. I've learned this year that almost every village in Britain has a village hall and a lot of them are criminally under used. People don't seem to realise this is part of our heritage and it's a shame they are not more widely utilised. Thanks to the ones who came.

Mere Brow Village Hall August 6 2010

One of the most beautiful village halls in Lancashire, fantastic staff and great people.  Good to see so many people here tonight including a couple who'd arrived on holiday from Ontario Canada the day before, hearing a Lancashire lad singing Johns songs in Mere Brow must have seemed very surreal.  See you next year, brilliant night.

Thanks to everyone who turned out to see the show on this truly awful night of fog and freezing rain, the weather this winter has rivalled The Rocky mountains, John would have felt right at home here this December.
Great night, thanks to my good friend Steve Wright for his sterling work on the mixing board, and all the staff at the hall who were brilliant.  I will be returning to this superb venue in the spring.
