Somehow last year I managed to record an album of original material with producer Justin Richards. The album 'Don't Forget...Forgive' features some great performances by the likes of legendary Lancashire guitarist Ken Nicol and Liverpool's finest drummer Roy Martin. The CD which features 10 songs including 'If There's Ever A Time' is released in March.

This spring I will be performing at The Friends of John Denver annual Denver Day in Staffordshire and I'm thrilled beyond words to have been asked to perform with Steve Weisberg in Aspen this coming October at the 15th Annual Musical Tribute to John Denver. I'll also be doing a concert with Steve Weisberg and Steve Brook at The Community Church in Aspen.

I have only been performing this show for 2 years but have met some amazing people and am honoured to be doing my small part in keeping John's music alive.

I'll keep you posted,

Chris
It's been another year of constant shows with some great and very memorable nights along the way.

In May I was honoured to be asked to play a very special concert at Quinton Methodist Church in aid of the Ifakara Bakery Project. The project was started in 1998 by an amazing couple - Margaret and Eugene Schellenberg, to set up a self sufficient bakery in Tanzania. Fourteen years on the bakery produces 900 loaves of bread daily for the local schools, hospitals and orphanages amongst other things ensuring food for the village even in a bad harvest year. This is a project I feel sure John would have approved of. Thanks to Phil and Linda Robinson and everyone else involved for putting on the concert which raised almost £800 to add to the rest of the money made that weekend.

The summer shows in the beautiful English Lake District were a highlight of 2011 with loads of John Denver fans turning up to hear my interpretation of his incredible music. As always John's music finds it home in this perfect landscape.

The first of this years Christmas shows found me in Lincoln, performing at The Assembly Rooms for members of the Friends of John Denver UK Fan Club amongst others. Thanks to Patrick a true gentleman and a very funny guy. See you there next year.

The Christmas shows as always were very special, some of the shows were standing room only. I love playing the music from John's Christmas albums and never tire of songs like 'A Baby Just Like You' and 'Christmas for Cowboys'. John's music seems well suited to the festive season. Thanks to all who attended and sang along so enthusiastically. A great way to end the year.
We are really lucky in England to have so many beautiful small villages. The turnout tonight was so good we feared we may not fit everybody in. Great sounding room, it's always a pleasure to perform at a venue where the acoustics have been taken into consideration when designing the room. Thanks to Brett and also to Carol for their help with tonight. The atmosphere was incredible and it was great to see that John's music is very much alive and well in the UK.

Parbold Village Hall is a great example of a village hall that is used to it's full potential. Here at Parbold they screen films, have a Festival of Classical Music and the hall is used every night for various functions from martial arts to ballroom dancing. Thanks to all the people who came tonight, it really was a great turnout.

First visit to Cheshire, such a shame this lovely little gem of a venue isn't used more often. I've learned this year that almost every village in Britain has a village hall and a lot of them are criminally under used. People don't seem to realise this is part of our heritage and it's a shame they are not more widely utilised. Thanks to the ones who came.
